The LR ThermoSocket + Ref.PRO Small is a professional-grade lamp holder and reflector assembly designed for use inside the vivarium. Built around an E27 porcelain lamp holder, a steel reflector, a wire mesh guard, and a silicone power lead, it gives reptile keepers a safe, focused, and properly shielded heat and light source — without compromise on materials or build quality.

Construction and Materials

The lamp holder itself uses an E27 porcelain fitting, chosen for its ability to handle sustained high temperatures safely. The steel reflector serves two functions: it concentrates light output downward into the enclosure, and it acts as a visual shield so neither keeper nor animal is exposed to direct glare from the bulb. A wire mesh guard sits across the open base of the reflector, creating a physical barrier that prevents animals from making direct contact with the lamp.

Compatibility

The small reflector size is designed for use with Halogen Sun lamps, Bright Sun UV lamps, and Compact UV Sun bulbs. The assembly is rated for use with lamps up to 300W, covering the full range of high-output reptile lighting commonly used in desert and tropical setups. It also connects directly to compatible Bright Control ballasts — no adaptors or additional wiring required.
