ABOUT THIS SPECIES

Okeetee corn snakes are prized for a bold, high-contrast look strong oranges and reds framed by darker outlines built from selective breeding of the classic “Okeetee” style rather than a single fixed locality label in most of today’s trade animals.

“Low Pied” is a visual description for lighter/whiter pattern disruption that’s present but not extreme, so the animal keeps more of the traditional saddle pattern than a heavy pied example. Like all corn snakes, they’re alert, food-motivated and good display animals once settled, splitting their time between snug hides and slow, methodical exploring.

Give them plenty of cover and a couple of climbable branches and you’ll usually see more natural cruising behaviour, especially towards dusk.
