Product Information

FS Discus Pellets are a specialist diet for discus (Symphysodon spp.) built around the insect-rich nutrition these fish naturally consume in Amazonian waters. The 3mm slowly sinking pellet format suits discus feeding behaviour, and the grain-free, fish meal-free formula reflects a genuine understanding of what this demanding species actually thrives on.

Insect-Led Formula

The diet draws 36% of its composition from insect meal — specifically Black Soldier Fly, Mealworm, Daphnia, and Bloodworm. This is the nutritional foundation discus would encounter in the wild, and it drives the 45% protein content that supports healthy growth and condition. The absence of grain and fish meal keeps the ingredient list focused and digestible.

Natural Colour and Immune Support

Several ingredients are included specifically for their functional benefits beyond basic nutrition. Haematococcus pluvialis (a natural astaxanthin source) and Spirulina both support colour expression, while Garlic, Turmeric, and Hydrolysed tannins contribute natural immune support. Kelp, Yeast, and Hydrolysed shrimp protein round out the nutritional profile.

Feeding Guide

Feed once or twice daily, offering only as much as your discus will consume within one minute. Remove any uneaten pellets promptly to maintain water quality. If switching from another food, allow a few days for your fish to accept the new diet — this is normal behaviour for discus.

Available in a 55g (100ml) pack. A considered, species-specific diet that takes the guesswork out of feeding one of the most rewarding fish in the hobby.
