Exo Terra TerraSky Planted Terrarium Light

The Exo Terra TerraSky Planted Terrarium Light is built specifically for bioactive enclosures, paludariums, and planted terrariums where live vegetation is central to the setup. High output LEDs with strong Photosynthetic Active Radiation (PAR) drive genuine plant growth across all layers of the enclosure — from ground-level mosses and lichen to mid-level bromeliads, tillandsias, orchids, and carnivorous plants.

Light Output and Coverage

The TerraSky carries 24 bright white 6500K LEDs alongside 12 tricolour RGB LEDs, delivering a high-intensity output that penetrates deep into the terrarium rather than just illuminating the surface. A 120-degree dispersion angle spreads light evenly across the full footprint of the enclosure, eliminating dark spots that can cause uneven plant growth or poor animal behaviour.

Fully Customisable Spectrum

The RGB and 6500K white LED combination gives you complete control over the light spectrum, allowing you to replicate a wide range of natural lighting environments. Eleven preset weather effects — including cloud cover, sunrise, sunset, moon phases, storm, and lightning — are built in, along with six pre-programmed colour settings. Four memory buttons on the included remote control let you store your own custom configurations.

Built for Humid Environments

The LED housing carries an IP54 waterproof rating, making it suitable for the high humidity conditions found in tropical and rainforest setups, paludariums, and bioactive builds. This is not a dry-habitat light adapted for humid use — it is designed from the ground up to operate reliably in wet, condensation-heavy environments.

Installation and Compatibility

Extendable mounting brackets allow the TerraSky to fit securely across Exo Terra Small and Medium Natural Terrariums, as well as any other enclosure between 38 and 60 cm in width. No additional mounting hardware is required for standard installations.

Strong visible light output supports the physiological wellbeing of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates by allowing them to perceive their environment's colours accurately — not just warming them or triggering basking.
