The ET Glow Light/Reflector Large 25cm (PT2056) is a versatile clamp-on vivarium fixture designed to position heat and light sources exactly where your setup needs them. Built for both diurnal and nocturnal species, it functions as a day and night fixture in one — eliminating the need for a separate night lamp in most set-ups.

Construction and mounting

The reflector is metal-bodied with a heat-resistant porcelain socket rated to a maximum of 200W, making it compatible with a wide range of bulb types including compact fluorescents and incandescent lamps. A spring-loaded swivel clamp allows secure, adjustable positioning on terrarium rims or edges, and an on/off switch is mounted on the extra-long power cord for straightforward control without reaching the fixture itself.

Luminous reflective coating

The inside of the 25cm reflector is finished with a luminous coating that charges during the day and releases a low-level glow after lights out. This serves a practical purpose: diurnal reptiles and amphibians can locate their burrows or hides at night without the disorientation caused by sudden darkness, while nocturnal species retain enough ambient light to move naturally without disrupting their night cycle. The coating also reflects light rays that would otherwise be lost, improving the efficiency of whatever bulb is fitted.

Nocturnal viewing without disturbance

The residual glow is bright enough to allow keepers to observe animals during night hours without switching on room or vivarium lighting — reducing stress and disorientation for the animals inside. There is no need to fit an additional night bulb purely for ambient light, unless a supplemental heat source is also required overnight.
